We just finished up an intense 8 week course of Science School. Each Thursday we headed to the Museum of Nature and Science to learn about about 'big and small things' for 90 minutes. The first 4 weeks were all about dinosaurs and the last 4 were each about an insect...ants, bees, and butterflies.
The beginning of each class centered around facts and learning. Apatosaurus vs. Brontosaurus (same thing), chrysalis vs cocoon, etc. I learned just as much as the boys did. Following circle time, 4 tables were set up with great arts & crafts that followed the theme. Then we concluded with a book. We will miss our weekly outing to the museum, but not the drive to Dallas :)
